Everything is possible

“For nothing is impossible with God.” Luke 1:37 (NIV)
This is actually the reason why I always come to God and ask for His help. Yes, I did believe that God can do all things. In fact, I usually bother Him with the things I want to have in my life. Before, I was wondering why He always gave what I asked from Him. Now, I realized that it’s our faith in Him that works our prayers! So, I am really thankful to God for giving me this gift of faith. For a couple of weeks, I talked with God for something. It’s always in my prayers over and over again. But just this morning, God renewed my hope towards such thing! Honestly, one of the things I usually do is Bible reading at night yet I have to open my other Bible to know what would be the message of God that He wants me to hear every morning. Just this morning, God let me read this;
19 “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
“From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
Mark 9:19-25 (NIV)
It’s really sad to hear that there’s really someone who didn’t believe what Jesus can do. The man in the story doesn’t have this full trust that Jesus can surely help him. In fact, he says, “But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
It made me laugh when I read this, 23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus.
I could feel that Jesus was complaining of the said statement above. It seems that the man doesn’t have any options and he wasn’t sure enough that Jesus can surely help him. So, then Jesus said, “Everything is possible for one who believes.”  This statement renewed my hope!God reminded me how I asked for a birthday gift. I did ask it by faith. After I asked God, I thank God everyday for giving it to me. Then, God gave it a month before my birthday!!!God is so great! He is indeed attentive to all of our prayers!
This time, I would like you to evaluate yourself.
1.      What are the things you ask from God?
2.      Do you really trust Him that He could give it to you?

Remember what Jesus says, “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Let’s erase the doubts and worries! Our God can do all things! We only have to trust Him!

“Money transfer”

Last March 2011, I got a message from my sister telling me that she would like to pursue nursing. She’s expecting me to help her. I could understand her. But it seems that she forgot that I am here as a “missionary”. I present this case to God right after I heard it from her.
Philippians  4:6 –“Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (KJV)
I talked with God about this matter and telling Him that I am here working for His cause. He’s actually my Boss and I asked a little favor from Him. I did ask Him to be a Great Jehovah Jireh unto my family. I also asked God that very night to let someone send money into my account for the needs of my family. It was a money transfer! I thank God for letting this person to send money into my account though I didn’t know yet who would be this person. Honestly, I didn’t mention who but I am just asking God that time to let someone to send money into my account.
In the following day, I was led to check my mails. I’ve got a message from a friend and a brother in Christ telling me that he will be transferring a money into my account yet I have to promise him that I only have to use the money for my family and my personal needs. He doesn’t want me to use the money for the organization. So, I responded him immediately that I will be using the money for my family only. It’s actually his first time to do the “money transfer”. It’s also my first time to accept money from others. Well, I believed that it’s God who led him to do such. Honestly, I’ve known this person for a couple of months only.  I don’t know how to explain further yet I could tell that both of them decided to send the money into my account. I am really blessed to see how God works just to provide the needs I’d been asking for my family. He let these two friends of mine to give voluntarily. I believed that God will surely bless them.
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38 (KJV)
I thank God for giving them such heart to give. I don’t have anything to give them in return except for the prayer of blessings upon them. These guys were able to transfer the money successfully to my account. I called up my family in Philippines and told them that God made a way to provide their needs. Of course, I mentioned Andy and Michael to them as a channel of blessing which God used just to provide their needs. Our God is indeed the Great Provider! He always provides our needs on time just as He provides the ram as a burnt sacrifice instead of Isaac. (Genesis 22:14)
God always tests our faith but remember that God is only asking us to trust Him wholeheartedly. Once we think that we don’t have any options, give up not for it’s just the best time to trust our God fully! Then, we could see how God works in a way that we think there’s no other way. There’s always a way for God! He will surely make a way for us. His way is indeed amazing and best!!!

"First package"

I’d been asking a lot of things from God while I am in my mission field here in "Cambodia". One of those things was receiving a package from other country. I just told God to let someone to send a package to me containing the Khmer Bible, evangelical tracks (Khmer) and English Bible. I did believe that God can do all things as it says in Luke 1:37, “With God, all things are possible.” Furthermore, I also believed what He says in Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given unto You; Seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened for you.” I simply claim one of the promises of God. I always come before His presence as His daughter.
“Trusting God at all times is what really matters!!! ”
A couple of weeks after I asked God about the package, someone sent me a message asking my faith in Christ. I was astonished with his question. It was my first time to hear from this person and he’s asking me if I am really a Christian. I don’t want to tell him personally that I am, yet I forwarded my personal testimony while I was still at the missionary training center. I would like him to judge me whether I am a true Christian or not based on the testimony I had. Then, he started telling me about the Christianity in Germany that made me feel sad and even crying out to God for the spiritual awakening over there.
After 2 months of corresponding to him, he told me that he will be sending a package containing a Khmer Bible, English Bible and evangelical tracks in Khmer version. Take note, these were the things I asked from God. I didn’t ask him for such yet I asked those things from God. Now, it made me realized that God allowed me to know this guy for a reason. He came to my life for a reason and I am thankful to God for such. He is not the only one I knew but God let me knew his friend who introduced Christ to him.
Indeed, I am always grateful to God for them. Thank God for allowing me to know Andy and Michael!!
God is always listening to us!!!So, whatever you’ve been asking to God, just believe that you receive it and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24)
Trust God for it and patiently wait for such. Remember, God’s answer is always the best!!!
